Warranty Claim

We are committed to offering the highest quality musical instruments, and for that reason, they are covered by a limited 3 year warranty. This warranty only covers Syrinx instruments that are newly purchased by customers in Australia, and only with proof of purchase from an authorised dealer. Given our dedication to customer service, we welcome your feedback to assist us in improving our products and services. Assuming you are on this page to lodge a warranty claim, we are sorry to hear that something didn't go quite right.

What is covered by warranty?

  1. Products by Syrinx Musical Instruments come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and for compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired (by our authorised Syrinx repair technicians), or replaced if the goods fail to be of an acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
     

  2. This warranty covers the listed products against defects in materials or workmanship for two years from the date of purchase as listed on your invoice. If the instrument was previously rented (as a new instrument) through a rental program, and this by the same owner, the warranty period will commence on the date of first use of the instrument.
     

  3. Syrinx Musical Instruments will, at its option, repair or replace the product covered by this warranty if it becomes defective due to manufacturing faults, if it malfunctions or if it otherwise fails to conform to this warranty under normal use and service during the term of this warranty, without charge for labour or materials. These repairs must be undertaken by an authorised Syrinx service centre only. No shipping charges will be covered by Syrinx Musical Instruments or its agents if the product(s) must be shipped for warranty services or claims.

What is NOT covered by warranty?

  1. Damage, deterioration or malfunction resulting from accident, negligence, misuse, abuse, operation or failure to follow instructions; any shipment of the product (shipment claims must be presented to the carrier); repair or attempted repair by anyone other than an authorised Syrinx service centre;
     

  2. Any instrument/product which has been altered or has had its serial number defaced, modified or removed;
     

  3. Normal wear and tear and any periodic maintenance;
     

  4. Deterioration due to perspiration, corrosive atmosphere or other external causes such as extremes in temperature or humidity;
     

  5. Exposure to liquid or infiltration of foreign particles;
     

  6. Shipment or other transit;
     

  7. Instrument cases that come with the instrument;
     

  8. Springs, pads, felt parts and any other consumables.


Any evidence of alteration, erasing or forgery of proof-of-purchase documents will cause this warranty to be void. This warranty covers only the Original Owner and is not transferable under any circumstance.
